Stephen Forrest, Vice President for Research, is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2008 Distinguished University Innovator Award. He is James R. Baker, Jr., M.D., Ruth Dow Doan Professor, Chief of the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Director of the Michigan Nanotechnology Institute for Medicine and the Biological Sciences, and founder of two startup biotechnology companies, NanoBio Corporation and Avidimer Therapeutics, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Baker serves as the Chief Scientific Officer of these corporations.
